If a problem catches my attention, there's a good chance I'll spend the next few hours researching, building, and experimenting until I figure it out. Hampi, Karnataka — capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, 14th–16th century
Hampi is the soul of this portfolio. Not just the iconic Stone Chariot, but everything — the weathered relief engravings on temple walls, the sculptural narratives carved into granite pillars, the sacred mandalas, the lotus motifs repeated across pavilions, the Kannada inscriptions etched into stone, and the history of a civilization that built monuments meant to outlast centuries. Every design choice here — the parchment tones, the nested stone-card borders, the parallax engravings, the scholarly typography — is drawn from walking through those ruins.
European woodblock engravings, c. 15th–16th century
The dense cross-hatching, ornate botanical borders, and monochromatic depth of Renaissance woodcuts inspired the SVG engravings used as background art — mandalas, lotus motifs, temple pillars, and inscription patterns layered at low opacity to give the portfolio a tactile, hand-carved atmosphere.
Intaglio printmaking tradition, c. 16th–18th century
The fine line-work and dramatic shading of classical etchings — cross-hatched skin, wind-swept hair, textured skies — guided the micro-detail philosophy. Every UI element aims for that same hand-rendered, almost imperfect quality: subtle paper-grain noise, slightly imperfect borders, and typography that feels inscribed rather than typed.
This portfolio is a digital monument carved in the spirit of Hampi's ruins — where Vijayanagara sandstone meets Renaissance printmaking, and ancient craftsmanship lives on as code.
